We learn English for 10 years in junior high school, high school and college.
But still we cannot speak English.

それは英語の教科書が悪いんです。
Because English textbooks are very bad.
僕が中学生の時、最初に習った英語は、
The first sentence I learned in junior high school was
『これはペンです。』
“ This is a pen.”
今まで『これはペンです』なんて言ったことありますか！？
Do you ever have to say that!?
次に習ったのが、
And next I learned
『これは机ですか？』
“ Is this a table?”
『いいえ、イスです。』“No, it is a chair.”
なんちゅう質問や！イスを机と見間違うか？
What a stupid question! A chair doesn't look like a table.
次に習ったのが、
Then I learned,
『私は少年でしょうか？』
“Am I a boy?”
なんちゅう質問や！
What a stupid question!
『すんません。私は少年でしょうか？』誰がこんな質問するねん！
“Excuse me. Am I a boy?” Nobody ask such aquestion.
ね、英語の教科書が悪いんです。
English textbooks are very bad.
