「遅いんだよ。」ですが、 It’s too late. などで表します。 Ex) A) I’m so sorry. Can I make an excuse.. ? 本当にごめん。言い訳させてもらえないかな…? B) Stop talking to me. It’s too late. I don’t want to talk about that. 私に話しかけないで。もう遅い。そのことは話したくないわ。 → make an excuse: 「言い訳をする」 Ex) A) Wait, wait. It wasn’t my fault! I was there at that time accidentally.. ちょっと待って。あれは僕のせいじゃなかったんだよ!あの時僕はたまたまそこにいただけで…。 B) It’s too late when you make excuses. 言い訳したってもう遅い。 → It’s too late when.. として、「〜してももう遅い」という意味合いを表しました。

「地球儀を回す」ですが、 Rotate the globe となります。「地球儀: globe」と表します。 Ex) I’ll rotate the globe so point to the name of the specified country. 地球儀を回すので言った国名を指し示して。 → rotate: 「回転する、回る」…回るという言葉は、 “ turn / spin “ など他にもありますが、 “ rotate “ が「軸を中心にして回る」という意味になります。 Ex) Answer the name of the country I mentioned as I rotate the globe. 地球儀を回すので言った国名を指し示して。 → 訳では「指し示す」ですが、こちらの例文では「答える」と同様の意味で作成いたしましたので answer としました。

「通帳アプリ」は、 Bank book app Passbook app などと表します。 Ex) I checked the bank statements from the past through the bank book app. 通帳アプリで過去の月の明細を見直したわ。 → bank statement: 「出入金が記録された銀行の明細書」 → bank book: 「通帳」…今はオンライン化が主流になったこともあり、通帳という文化がすでになくなっている国も多いので伝わりにくいかもしれません。 Ex) I reviewed the bank statements from the past on the passbook app. 通帳アプリで過去の月の明細を見直したわ。 → passbook: 「通帳」…これ自体は「通帳」という意味になりますが、 “ bank book “ と同様すでに使用されておらず通じにくい可能性もあります。

「ゲームセンターに行こう」ですが、 (amusement) arcade と表します。amusement はつけていなくともかまいません。game center のような言葉は和製英語で通じませんのでご注意ください。 Ex) Let’s go to the (amusement) arcade. ゲームセンターに行こう。 → 会話の中での誘い文句でしたら amusementをつけると長くなるため、“ arcade “ のみになる場合が多いかもしれません。 Ex) Let’s play games at the (amusement) arcade after school today. I’m really into one of them. 今日の放課後、ゲーセンに行こうぜ。あの中の1つにめちゃくちゃハマっててさ。 → be into 〜: 「〜にハマっている」…他にも、 “ hooked on〜 “ でも「ハマっている」という表現があります。 “ hook: 「(かぎ針などで)引っかかる “ という意味です。
