で表現出来ます。

senseは"感覚、感じ、気持ち、意識"で
It doesn't make much sense.は"大した意味はない"というニュアンスになります。
It's no big deal. は"大したことないよ"という意味のイディオムです。

I don't think it means much when old people complain on a whim.

大嫌いは loathe/abhor で表現出来ます。

hateの使い方に近いです。
