条項 を英語で教えて!

「条項」は英語では article や clause などで表現することができます。

I'm busy because I have to check all the articles before publishing them.
（発表する前に、全ての条項をチェックしなければならないので、忙しいです。）

I have a question regarding this clause.
（この条項について質問があります。）

※ちなみに clause は文法用語の「節」という意味も表せます。

土木工学 を英語で教えて!

「土木工学」は英語では civil engineering と表現することができます。

My current goal is to enter 〇〇 university and study civil engineering.
（〇〇大学に入って、土木工学を勉強するのが私の今の目標です。）

He is an expert in civil engineering, so we should listen to his opinion.
（彼は土木工学の専門家なので、彼の意見を聞くべきです。）

※ちなみに civil は「市民の」や「国民の」などの意味を持つ言葉ですが、「国内の」という意味もあり、civil war で「内戦」という意味になります。

「トナカイがそりを引く」は英語では reindeer pulls a sleigh や reindeer draws a sleigh などで表現することができます。

（特にトナカイがそりを引くシーンが印象的だった。）

This is a painting of reindeer drawing a sleigh.
（トナカイがそりを引いている絵です。）

※ちなみに reindeer（トナカイ）は基本的に、単複同形の言葉になります。

「検閲」は英語では inspection や checkpoint などで表現することができます。

Since the summit meeting will be held next month, I think inspection will become stricter.
（来月、首脳会談が行われるから、検閲が厳しくなると思う。）

You will not be able to enter the venue unless you pass the checkpoint.
（検問をパスしないと、会場内には入れないよ。）

※ちなみに inspection は商品などを検査する「検品」という意味でも使われます。

地底人 を英語で教えて!

「地底人」は英語では subterranean people や underground person などで大筋を表現することができると思います。

I believe that subterranean people live on Earth.
（私は、地球には地底人が住んでると信じてる。）

The only place there are underground persons is in movies.
（地底人がいるのは、映画の中だけだよ。）

※ちなみに underground はスラング的に「非合法な」という意味で使われることもあります。
