「他者と比較する」は英語では、上記のように表現することができます。

Instead of comparing yourself with others, you should try comparing yourself to your past self.
（他者と比較するのではなく、過去の自分と比べてみなさい。）

Personally, I don't think comparing yourself with another person is a bad thing.
（個人的には、他者と比べることが悪いことだとは思いません。）

※ちなみに others の場合は「他者」をまとめて表しますが、another person の場合は「1人の他者」を表します。

※ちなみに put を使ったスラングで put one's foot down と言うと「絶対に譲らない」というようなニュアンスを表現できます。

「伏線」は英語では、上記のように表現することができます。

※ pay off （回収する、清算する、など）

Looking back now, I think there were some advance hints, but I didn't notice them at the time.
（今振り返ると、伏線がいくつかあったと思うが、あの時は気付かなかった。）

※ちなみに hint を使ったスラングで take a hint と言うと「気を利かす」「空気を読む」というような意味を表せます。

「仰角・俯角」は英語では、上記のように表現することができます。

（どれも良いけど、特にこの俯角で撮られた写真が素晴らしい。）

※ちなみに angle（角度） はスラング的に「たくらみ」や「狙い」というような意味で使われたりします。

※ website（ウェブサイト、ホームページ、など）

※ちなみに career と似た carrier という言葉がありますが、こちらは「運ぶ人」「運送業者」などの意味を表せます。
