「電話繋がった？」は英語では Did you get through? と表現することができます。

Did you get through? You should try again later.（電話繋がった？後でかけ直した方がいいよ。）

「言い過ぎ」は英語では out of line や exaggeration などで表現することができます。

I was out of line last night. I'm sorry.（昨夜は言い過ぎました。ごめんなさい。）

Yes, I bought a nice car, but " luxury car" is obviously an exaggeration.
（確かに良い車を買ったけど、「高級車」っていうのは、明らかに言い過ぎでしょ。）
