「思いの外」は英語では unexpectedly や astonishingly などで表現することができます。

I made a handleless teacup for the first time in a pottery school, but I did well unexpectedly.

「うるさいだけ」は英語では just annoying（煩わしい感じのうるささ）や just noisy（騒がしい感じのうるささ）などで表現することができます。

I'm jealous. My boss is just annoying.
（いいわね～。うちの上司なんてうるさいだけよ。）
