到着便 を英語で教えて!

「到着便」は英語では arriving flight や incoming flight などで表現することができます。

Sorry, but the arriving flight is delayed, so I haven't been able to board the plane yet.
（ごめん、実は、到着便が遅れているから、まだ飛行機に乗れていないんだ。）

There is more than an hour until the incoming flight comes.
（到着便が来るまで1時間以上ある。）

※ちなみに「深夜便」のことは、スラングで redeye と言ったりします。

大勢 を英語で教えて!

「大勢」は英語では great number of や large number of などで表現することができます。

I was happy because a great number of people came to the wedding.
（大勢の人が結婚式に来てくれてうれしかった。）

There were already a large number of participants at the venue.
（会場には既に、大勢の参加者がいた。）

※ちなみに、日本では大きいサイズのことを「Lサイズ」と言いますが、英語では、略さず large size と表現します。（"L size"では通じない可能性が高いです）

台風が直撃する を英語で教えて!

「台風が直撃する」は英語では typhoon hits や typhoon hits directly などで表現することができます。

You shouldn't go out this weekend because the typhoon is going to hit here.
（今週末は台風が直撃するから出かけないほうがいいよ）

The train was canceled because the typhoon hit directly.
（台風が直撃したせいで電車が運休した。）

※ちなみに、大西洋で「台風」が発生した場合は typhoon ではなく、hurricane になります。

おめでとう を英語で教えて!

「おめでとう」（Congratulation以外）は英語では Best wishes. や Congrats. などで表現することができます。

Best wishes for your marriage. You look really beautiful today.
（結婚おめでとう。今日のあなたは本当に綺麗よ。）

Congrats on your promotion! you're really amazing.
（昇進おめでとう！お前は本当に凄いよ。）

※ちなみに Congrats. はカジュアルな表現になるので、固い雰囲気の場では使われません。

「歓送迎会」は英語では welcome and farewell party や welcome and goodbye party などで表現することができます。

（来月の歓送迎会の企画をお願いします。）

Basically, I try to attend welcome and goodbye parties.
（基本的には歓送迎会には出席するようにしています。）

※ちなみに party は「会」や「パーティー」という意味の他に、「グループ」や「党」などの意味もあります。
