くじ運 を英語で教えて!

「くじ運」は英語では luck with the lotteries や luck in the lotteries などで表現することができると思います。

I don’t have much luck with the lotteries, so I’m nervous about the changing the seating arrangements.
（くじ運がないから、席替えは緊張するよ。）
※ changing the seating arrangements（席替え）

I’ve never cared about the luck in the lotteries.
（私はくじ運なんて気にしたことないよ。）

※ちなみに good luck と言うと「頑張ってね」というような意味を表せますが、時に「せいぜい頑張れ」みたいな皮肉のようやニュアンスで使われたりもします。

黒い噂 を英語で教えて!

「黒い噂」は英語では dark rumor や dark news などで表現することができます。

Apparently there are dark rumors about that person.
（あの人は黒い噂があるらしいよ。）

As a politician, you have a duty to explain this dark news.
（あなたには政治家として、この黒い噂について説明する義務がある。）

※ちなみに news は「知らせ」「情報」といった意味の言葉ですが、「噂」というニュアンスで使われることもあります。

苦労人 を英語で教えて!

「苦労人」は英語では person who had a hard time や worldly-wise man などで表現することができると思います。

That pop idol is a person who had a hard time surprisingly, right?
（あのアイドルも意外と苦労人だよね。）

He’s a worldly-wise man, so he doesn’t do hasty action.
（彼は苦労人なので、軽率なことはしません。）

※ちなみに worldly-wise man は「世渡り上手」というようなニュアンスもあります。

ピクリともしない を英語で教えて!

「ピクリともしない」は英語では It doesn't even twitch. や It doesn't move completely. などで表現することができると思います。

He doesn't even twitch. Unfortunately he is probably dead.
（ピクリともしない。残念ながら、おそらく彼は死んでいる。）

Is this an insect? It doesn't move completely.
（これ虫かな？ピクリともしないよ。）

※ちなみに move は、スポーツなどでは「技」という意味で使われたりします。

基準となる を英語で教えて!

「基準となる」は英語では be the standard や be the criteria などで表現することができます。

The first is going to be the standard.
（最初の方が基準となります。）
※ going to は頻繁に gonna と略されます。

In our company, 〇〇 is basically the criteria.
（弊社では、基本的に〇〇が基準になります。）

※ちなみに criteria は criterion の複数形になりますが、criteria という形で表現されることが多いです。
