目ヤニがついてる を英語で教えて!

目ヤニがついてるので拭きますよ。

I have a lot of eye mucus.
目やにがたくさん出ます。

1. 「目やに」は eye mucus と言います。mucus は「粘液」という意味です。

例）
nasal mucus
鼻の粘液
implement for sampling mucus
粘液採取器具

2. sleep dust を略して sleep とも呼ばれます。

例）
You have sleep in your eyes.
目やにがついてるよ。

You should go clean your eyes, you have sleep.
目やにがついてるから洗ったほうがいい。

天下分け目の戦い を英語で教えて!

Battles in which victory or defeat has a major impact are known as a decisive battle.
勝敗が大きな影響を与える戦いのことを天下分け目の戦いと言います。

The decisive battle has begun.
天下分け目の戦いが始まった。

This match is a decisive battle.
この試合はまさに天下分け目の戦いだ。

decisive は「決定的な」「重要な」という意味を持ちます。
「戦い」は戦いの種類によって使う英単語が変わります。
今回のような「戦い」は battle を使いますが、「戦争」は war、決闘は「combat」はを使うといいでしょう。

政令指定都市 を英語で教えて!

「政令指定都市 」は上記のように表現します。
ordinance は「政令」「条例」という単語です。
designatedは「指定された」「任命された」という意味を持ちます。

例
An ordinance-designated city is a city that can take the initiative in administration.
政令指定都市は、市が主体となって行政を行なうことができる都市です。
take the initiative 主体となる、主導権を握る
administration 行政

When a city becomes an ordinance-designated city, the authority for various administrative services is transferred from the prefecture.
政令指定都市になると、様々な行政サービスの権限が都道府県から譲渡されます。

通行を妨げる を英語で教えて!

「通行を妨げる」は上記にように表現します。
blockは「妨げる」「塞ぐ」という意味があります。「車の通行」は traffic で表します。

例
Vehicles involved in the accident are blocking traffic.
事故車が車の通行を妨げている。

There was an accident on a busy road.
交通量の多い道路で事故があった。

Cars are blocking the road.
車が道を塞いでいる。

There was an accidental traffic jam.
事故渋滞が発生した。

葉桜 を英語で教えて!

「葉桜」という英単語はないため、桜の木の花が散って、新しい葉が出てきたことを表現します。
new leaves も shoots もどちらも「新芽」を表すことができます。

They have turned cherry trees with new leaves.
葉桜になっていた。

I went to see the flowers, but they were past their best time to see.
お花見に行ったが見頃が過ぎていた。

例）
Cherry blossoms have fallen and revealing the fresh green shoots.
桜の花が散り、葉桜になっていた。
