９ヶ月前に髪を染めたけど、今となっては根元が伸びたから地毛の色が見えるでしょう。

At the coming of age ceremony, I told the students "as of today, you are officially adults.
成人式で私は生徒達に「今日から君たちは正式に大人ですね」と言いました。

Legally speaking, young people become adults at 20.
法的に言えば若者は20歳で成人になります。

あなた達は今日から大人ですね！

On his 20th birthday I told him, now you've come of age. From today you are an adult, so it's time to start looking for work!
彼の20歳の誕生日に「今日からあなたは大人なんだから、仕事を探し始めましょうね！」と言いました。
you've come of age = you have come of age =成人した
主語が単数ならan adult、複数ならadultsとなります。

補足
アメリカ合衆国では一般的に選挙権の与えられる18歳が成人する歳と考えられていますが、喫煙や飲酒まで含むと各州で法律が異なるため、全州共通の成人年齢というのはありません。

困り果てる を英語で教えて!

1. I'm at a loss.
私は困り果てています。

My son is going through puberty and gets angry so easily. I'm at a loss because I don't know what to do with him.
息子が思春期を迎えており、すぐに怒ってしまいます。どうやって彼と接するべきか分からず困り果ててしまいます。
