県営、市営 を英語で教えて!

1. prefectural：県営

Teachers and other civil servants may have the opportunity to live in prefectural housing when they are transferred to a new area.
教員やその他公務員は、新地域に赴任する際、県営住宅に住む機会があるかもしれません。

静まる を英語で教えて!

1. to quieten down ：静かになる
I waited for them to quieten down before starting to talk.
私は生徒たちが静まるまで話を始めませんでした。
(直訳：私は生徒たちが静かになるまで話すのを待ちました。)

When I arrived, the classroom was noisy, with children talking loudly, so I waited for them to quieten down before starting to talk.
私が教室に着いた時、生徒たちの騒ぎ声で教室はうるさかったので彼らが静まるまで話を始めませんでした。

2. to calm down ：静かになる
I waited for them to calm down before starting to talk.
生徒たちが静かになるまで話すのを待っていた。

積み出す を英語で教えて!

1. to dispatch
積み出す、出荷する、発送する

例. After receiving a huge number of facemasks from China, we dispatched them all over Japan by truck.
中国から大量のマスクが届いたので、日本全国に向けてトラックで積み出しました。

2. to send out
積み出す、出荷する

例. First, the goods arrive from China by ship, then we organize them in our warehouse and finally we send them out to customers all over Japan by truck.
まず中国から船で商品が到着し、その後倉庫で整理し最終的に日本全国のお客様に向けてトラックで出荷します。

3. to ship out
積み出す、出荷する

例. Thanks to our hardworking truck drivers, we successfully shipped out 100,000 face masks to customers all over Japan.
働き者のドライバーさんのおかげで１０万枚ものマスクを日本中の顧客に積み出すことができました。

「thanks to 名詞」は「～（名詞）のおかげで」です。
この「積み出す」の動詞は ship outで ship(船)とありますが、実際には船を使っているかどうかは関係ありません。

積み立てる を英語で教えて!

1. I'm saving 10,000 yen monthly for my child.
私は子供のために毎月１万円ずつ積み立てています。

2. I'm putting aside 10,000 yen each month for my kids.
私は子供たちのために毎月１万円を積み立てています。

monthly / each month / every month：毎月
per month：１ヶ月ごと
to save / to put aside：積み立てる、貯金する、貯める、とっておく
「主語 + have + been + putting aside + 金額」＝「主語が継続して金額を積み立てている」という意味になります。

Those sisters won't have to take a bank loan to pay for university because their parents have been putting aside 10,000 yen every month for 20 years.
その姉妹は両親が２０年間毎月１万円を積み立てているため、彼女らは大学進学のために銀行ローンを組み必要がありません。

切り上げたい を英語で教えて!

1. I want to call it a day.
ここで切り上げたいです。

to call it a day ： ここで切り上げる(動詞)
call it a dayのcallは電話ではなく、終えるの意味です。a dayもセットでこの意味のフレーズになります。

例
Can we call it a day?
ここで切り上げても良いですか？

I need to respond to this call, so is it OK if we call it a day?
この電話に出ないといけないので、ここで切り上げてもいいですか？

2. I want to wrap up.
ここで切り上げたいです。

to wrap up ：切り上げる、締めくくる
通常 to wrapは「包む」という意味ですが、前置詞upもつけると「締めくくる」という意味になります。
切り上げたい物/名詞をwrapとupの間に入れます。

例
Alright everyone, good work today, I think it's time to wrap things up. See you again, same time next week.
オッケーみんな、今日はよく頑張ったね。そろそろお終いの時間ですね。また来週同じ時間に会いましょう！

3. I want to cut short.
ここで切り上げたいです。

to cut short：切り上げる、途中でやめる、中断する
切り上げたい物/名詞をcutとshortの間に入れます。

例
I'm sorry to cut the lesson short, but I really need to take this call.
レッスンを中断して申し訳ないのですが、この電話に出ないといけないんです。
