先方 を英語で教えて!

使用例
In the meetings with clients, a good facilitator should ask the them first for their opinions, then summarize and share their own ideas.
取引先との会議中上手なファシリテーターはまず先方の意見を尋ね、それからまとめ、自分達の意見を共有します。

To have a constructive conversation with your business partner, try to ask them for their opinion first, before giving yours.
ビジネスパートナーと建設的な会話をするには、こちら側の意見を述べる前にまず先に先方の意見を聞くようにしましょう。

1, 2, 3以外にも「先方」という意味で使える表現がいくつかあります。

相手との関係性の状況に合わせて先方や取引先と訳します。

舌打ちする を英語で教えて!

1. tut
舌打ちをする

例. My father has an annoying habit of just tutting and shaking his head when he isn't interested in a conversation.
私の父は会話が面白くないと首を振りながらチッと舌打ちする嫌な癖があります。

2. grunt
舌打ちする

例. I tried to ask the old man a question, but he just grunted once and continued to drink his coffee.
私はそのお年寄りに質問してみようと思ったけど、ただ一度だけ舌打ちをしてコーヒーを飲み続けた。

「唸る、ブツブツ文句を言う」という時にもgruntが使えます。

3. to click one's tongue
舌打ちする

例. It's rude to click your tongue like that, please say something.
舌打ちするのは失礼ですよ、何か言って下さい。

「言いたい事があるなら」のニュアンスです。

延長戦 を英語で教えて!

1. extra innings (野球専用)
延長戦

例. They were still tied at the bottom of the ninth, so they played extra innings.
9回裏の時点でまだ同点だったため、延長戦が行われました。

野球での回の意味。試合や人によっては round (ラウンド)や turn (ターン)と表現する場合もあります。
to be tied
同点になる。ここでは 「They were still tied = 彼らはまだ同点だった」という意味になります。
extra
余計な、特別な

2. extra time
延長戦

例. The football match couldn't be decided in 90minutes, so it went to extra time.
サッカーの試合が９０分で決着が付かなかったため延長戦に入りました。

to go to extra time
延長戦に入る / 延長戦になる
サッカーはアメリカではsoccer、イギリスではfootballと言います。

3. over time
延長戦

例. The game should have finished already, but as the scores were tied, they are going to overtime.
試合はもう終わっているはずだったのに得点が同点だったためこれから延長戦に入ります。

主語 + should + have + 過去分詞
「主語」は「過去分詞」のはずだった( = 「実際にはそうならなかった」の意味になります。）

夢が一瞬でつぶされた を英語で教えて!

1. My dreams were crushed in an instant.
夢が一瞬で潰された。

例. My parents rejected my plans without any hesitation, so my future dreams were crushed in an instant.
私の両親は何の躊躇いもなく私の計画を拒否したので、私の将来の夢は一瞬にして潰されました。

この他にも同じ意味で以下のような表現方法があります。
・in a flash
・in a moment

2. My dreams disappeared instantly.
夢が一瞬で消えてしまった。

例. When I talked to my family about my future dreams, they told me it was impossible. So, just like that, I saw my dreams disappear instantly.
両親に将来の夢について相談したらそれは無理だと言われました。そうやって私の夢が一瞬で消え去ってしまったのがわかりました。

3. Dream was shattered immediately.
夢が一瞬で粉々になった。

例. Her father told her it wouldn't be possible to study abroad, and with that, her dream was shattered immediately.
父親から留学はダメだと言われたことによって彼女の夢はすぐに打ち砕かれてしまった。

筋を通して話す を英語で教えて！

1. to proceed logically
筋を通して話す、論理的に進める

例. I'll do my best to proceed logically, so that everyone can understand it clearly.
みなさんがしっかり分かるように筋を通して話すよう努力します。

to proceed：進める、処理する
logical：論理的な
logic：論理
to do one's best：最善を尽くす、努力する
so that〜：〜できるようにするために。ここでは「みなさんがしっかりと分かる」ようにするために、という意味です。

2. to go through step by step
筋を通して話す、一つずつ進める、順序立てて進める、段階を踏んで進める

例. Today's topic can get rather complicated, but I'll try to go through it step by step and keep it as clear as possible.
今日のトピックはかなりややこしいけど、できるだけ筋を通して話すようにします。

to go through〜：〜を通して、〜を通り抜けて
step by step：ステップごとに、順番に、段階を踏んで
rather complicated：かなり複雑な
as clear as possible：可能な限り明確に。
「as + 形容詞 + as + possible」で「できるだけ形容詞に」という意味です。カジュアルな文面では「as soon as possible = できるだけ早く」を使う時にそれぞれの頭文字を取ってASAPと表記することが多いです。
