話が違うよ を英語で教えて!

友達に、テストは過去問からしか出題されないと教えてもらっていたが、実際は違ったので、「話が違うよ」と言いたいです。

今回の「話が違う」は「教えてくれたことと違う」と言い換えると英語にしやすくなります。

この場合の「教える」は「情報を教える」ということなので、tellを使います。
「tell + 人 + 情報」または、「tell + 人 + こと」の形に当てはめましょう。
