蒸かす を英語で教えて!

「蒸かす」は英語で、 "steam" と表現されます。「スチーム」は日本語でも聞きなじみがありますよね。
以下に例文を2つ示しておきます。

例文1:
I received a lot of potatoes, so I thought I would steam them.

「場合によって違う」は英語では "It depends on the situation" や "It varies depending on the situation" と表現されます。

（お父さんの味方？お母さんの味方？ - うーん、状況によるね。）

例文2:

冗談が過ぎる を英語で教えて!

「冗談が過ぎる」は英語では "That's going too far" または "That's crossing the line" と表現されます。後者は日本語でいう、いわゆる「ライン越え」ですね。

例文1:
I can take a joke, but that's going too far.
（冗談は受け入れられますが、それは過ぎています。）

例文2:
You need to apologize. That joke was crossing the line.
（あなたは謝る必要があります。その冗談は行き過ぎていました。）

乗員乗客 を英語で教えて!

「乗員乗客」は英語で"crew and passengers"と言います。ここで"crew"は乗員を、"passengers"は乗客を指します。

例文:
The safety of our crew and passengers is our top priority.
（乗員乗客の安全が我々の最優先事項です。）

All crew and passengers must follow the safety instructions.
（全ての乗員と乗客は安全指示に従わなければなりません。 ）

乗り換える を英語で教えて!

「別の人に乗り換える」は英語で"switch to someone else"と言います。ちなみに、
「別れる」は"break up with ~" または少しかための表現で"end the relationship" を使います。

例文:
If you're not happy with your boyfriend, why don't you just break up and switch to someone else?
（彼氏に不満があるなら、さっさと別れて別の人に乗り換えたら？）
