下痢 を英語で教えて!

「下痢」の表現としては、

・diarrhea
・the runs

がございます。

I had diarrhea this morning probably due to the water in this country.
(この国の水のせいか、今朝、下痢をしました。)

I tend to have the runs whenever I travel abroad.
（海外旅行に行くと、よく下痢をしがちなんだよね。）

「diarrhea」の直接的表現が嫌な場合は、「the runs」で良いと思います。

下町 を英語で教えて!

「下町」の表現として、「下町」＝「古い/伝統的な町」なので、

・old town
・traditional town

で表現できるかと思います。

downtownは、「繁華街」と言う意味になってしまうので、ちょっとニュアンスが異なります。

「下町で育ったんですよ」
I grew up in an old town/traditional town.

「下町の人と仲良くなることが多いですね」
I tend to get along with someone from old town.
