臭み を英語で教えて!

「臭み」は英語では bad smell や シンプルに smell などで表現することができます。

I was served a fish dish in the countryside overseas, but I couldn't eat it because of the strong bad smell.

Basically, I disagree with the director, so I think it's a waste of time to discuss further.
