熟年 を英語で教えて!

「熟年」は英語では middle age や mature などで表現することができると思います。

Unfortunately my parents got divorced in middle age last year.
（残念ながら私の両親は、去年、熟年離婚した。）

Currently the main target of our business is mature couples.
（今のところ、私達のビジネスのメインターゲットは熟年夫婦の方々になります。）

「縦書き、横書き」は英語では vertical writing（縦書き）や horizontal writing（横書き）などで表現することができます。

Recently, more and more Japanese books horizontal writing, but I personally find it easier to read vertical writing than horizontal writing.
（最近は日本語でも横書きの本が増えてきたけど、個人的には横書きよりも縦書きの方が読みやすい。）
