正数・負数 を英語で教えて!

「正数・負数」は英語では positive number（正数）や negative number（負数）などで表現することができます。

If you add all those positive numbers, that's the answer.
（これらの正数をすべて足すと、それが答えになります。）

It can't be a negative number, so I think you made a mistake in the calculation somewhere.
（負数になるのはあり得ないので、どこかで計算を間違えたんだと思います。）

※ちなみに、日本ではよくマイナス思考や悲観的な人などに対して「ネガティブ」と言いますが、そのニュアンスに近い英語は negative より pessimistic になると思います。

斜辺 を英語で教えて!

「斜辺」は英語では hypotenuse や oblique side などで表現することができます。

Please find the length of the hypotenuse of this right-angled triangle.
（この直角三角形の斜辺の長さを求めなさい。）

I think the length of the oblique side is 〇〇cm.
（斜辺の長さは〇〇cmだと思います。）

※ちなみに side を使ったスラングで my sides というと「笑い過ぎて横っ腹が痛い」という意味を表せます。

降べき・昇べき を英語で教えて!

「降べき・昇べき」は英語では descending powers（降べき）や ascending powers（昇べき）などで表現することができると思います。

Please rearrange these numbers in descending order of powers.
（これらの数字を降べきの順に整理してください。）

It is difficult to rearrange them in ascending order of powers.
（昇べきの順に整理するのは難しい。）

※ちなみに power は「力」という意味ですが、これは肉体的な力に限らず、「電力」や「権力」などの意味も表せます。

「衆議院・参議院」は英語では House of Representatives（衆議院）や House of Councilors（参議院）などで表現することができます。

This is my personal opinion, the Minister of 〇〇 should be chosen from among the members of the House of Representatives.
（個人的な意見だが、〇〇大臣は衆議院議員から選ぶべきだ。）

What is the role of the House of Councilors?
（参議院の役割は何ですか？）

※ちなみに representative は「代表者」という意味を持つ言葉ですが、「担当者」というニュアンスもあり、sales representative は「営業担当者」という意味で使われる表現です。

「数学の問題を考える」は英語では think about a math problem や ruminate about a math problem などで表現することができると思います。、

I'm gonna think about a math problem, so please be quiet.
（数学の問題を考えるので、静かにして。）
※ gonna（going to の略）

I like to ruminate about math problems.
（数学の問題を考えるのが好きです。）

※think の場合は一般的に最も使われる「考える」なので、数学の問題に対しても使えると思います。ruminate の場合は、かなりじっくり考えるというニュアンスになります。
