何が違うと思う？ を英語で教えて!

Question

同じようなもので違いがわからなくて人に意見を聞きたいので、「何が違うと思う？」と言いたいです。

「〜とおもう？」という疑問文を作るときは必ず、What do you think 〜という形にします。
〜の部分に「思う」内容を入れます。
なので、What do you think is different？となり、「何が違うと思う?」となります。

例文
I think they're almost the same. What do you think is different?
ほとんど同じじゃない。何が違うと思う？

What do you think is different?　I've been thinking a lot, but I still don't understand.
何が違うと思う？いくら考えてもわからないんだ。

1. What’s the difference between them?
それらの違いは何？

状況によって、「between them」の代わりに、「between these items」（この2つのアイテム、）、「 from the previous model」（前の型と比べて）、などに代えるといいでしょう。
2つの商品を目の前にして、見比べながら話している最中であれば、シンプルに「What’s the difference?」（何が違うの？）でも問題ありません。

2. Do you see any difference between them?
それらの違いがわかる？

直接的に「何が違うか」を聞くわけではありませんが、「それらの違いがわかる？」と尋ねることで意見を求めている形です。「see」は「見る」という意味のほかに、「理解する、気づく」という意味もあります。質問ではなく、「I don’t see the difference between them.」（それらの違いが自分にはわからない）ということで、相手の意見を間接的に求めることもできます。

1. What differences do you see ~
「あなたは～に対しどのような違いを感じますか?」

「What differences」は、英語でよく使われるフレーズで何らかの対象や状況の違いについて質問する際に使います。between「の間に」とその後入れることによって完成です！

What differences do you see between these two things?
「これら2つのものの間にあなたはどんな違いを感じますか?」

see のかわりに think「思う」でもOKですし、
perceive「認識する、感じ取る」でもOKです！こちらは更にフォーマルな感じです。


2. How would you distinguish ~
「どう区別する？」

How would you distinguish ~ というフレーズも基本的には上記と同じ意味合いで使われます。
こちらはより具体的な内容や文脈に応じて、その違いや特徴を見極める方法を問う場合に使われます。

In your opinion, how would you distinguish them from each other?
「あなたの意見では、これらをどのように区別しますか?」

distinguish「区別する」

3. Could you point out the distinctions？
「違いを指摘してもらえますか?」

こちらは Can you ~ 「～できる？」の丁寧な言い回しで一般的な質問文の構成となります。
一番身近なのではないでしょうか！

「ここで見られる違いを指摘してもらえますか?」
