高性能 を英語で教えて！

コンパクトで高性能なコピー機はありますか？
Do you have a compact and high-performance copier？

compact and high-performance＝ コンパクトで高性能
Do you have ~? = (お店などで) 商品があるか尋ねる際,よく使われる表現。

ex.Mobile phones these days are very high performance.
最近の携帯電話はとても高性能です。

ex. Just because it's multifunction, doesn't mean it's high performance.
多機能だからといって高性能とは限らない。

食品添加物 を英語で教えて！

加工品には食品添加物が含まれています
Processed food contains food additives.

food additives=食品添加物
processed food= 加工食品

ex.The intake of food additives causes any disease.
食品添加物の摂取はあらゆる病気を引き起こす。

動揺する を英語で教えて！

家族の事故の話を聞いたので、気が動揺している。
I'm upset to hear about my family's accident.
be upset (by, about) = 動揺する

ex. He was upset about this mail.
彼はそのメールにとても動揺した。

ex.He upsets a cup of milk.
彼はミルクをひっくり返した。
☆upset-upset-upset=～をひっくり返す（他動）

ex.The boat itself upset.
ボートがひとりでにひっくり返った。（自動）

阻む を英語で教えて！

行く手を阻まないで!
① Don't prevent me from going there.
prevent A from ~ ing = Aが～するのを遮る、防ぐ

② Don't obstruct my way anyway.
obstruct= ふさぐ、遮断する、妨害する
anyway=とにかく

ex. Please don't disturb me.
お願いだから、邪魔しないで。
disturb/ interrupt ＝邪魔する

ex.You can prevent that with it.
これであれは防げます。
prevent A with B~= Bで A は防げます

徹底する を英語で教えて！

英語で話すことを徹底しています。
I'm thorough in speaking English.

thorough= 完全な、徹底的な、全く
be thorough～＝徹底する、行き届く

ex.He is a thorough fool.
彼は完全な愚か者だ。

fool= 馬鹿な、愚かな

ex. To do something thoroughly （～を徹底する）
thoroughly= 徹底的に

ex. I sleep soundly.
ぐっすり眠る。

soundly＝ぐっすり、深く、徹底的に

ex. I attack him soundly.
彼を徹底的に攻撃する。
