暗い話が多い を英語で教えて!

家族とテレビのニュースを見ていて事件が多いので、「暗い話が多いね」と言いたいです。

gloomyで「憂鬱な」という意味になります。

例文：

1. There are a lot of dark stories.
「暗い話が多いね」

「暗い話」をシンプルに dark stories と表現しています！

例）There are a lot of dark stories, aren't there?
「暗い話がたくさんあるね」

aren't there?とするとグッと「～と思わない？」という感じが出ます！

また、dark の代わりに somber「 悲しみに満ちた、暗い」を使うこともできます。
例） There are a lot of somber stories, aren't there? 「暗い話がたくさんあるよね」

2. There's a lot of gloomy news.
「暗いニュースが沢山あるね」

seems like「～みたい」 ”seem”「～らしい」だけでも通じるのですが、”like”をつけて”seem like”とすることでよりカジュアルな表現となります。
