2. 「地域で獲得された（community-acquired）」+「感染症（infection）」でも表現することができます。

It is effective for everyone to wear a mask to prevent community-acquired infection.
市中感染を防ぐために、各々がマスクをすることが有効です。
*「effective」は「効果がある、有効である」、「wear a mask」で「マスクをする」、「prevent～」は、「～を防ぐ」という意味になります。

市中感染はCommunity transmission.と言います。

Be aware of community transmission because it is increasing.
ウイルスの市中感染が増えており注意してほしい
と表現できます。

ちなみに「感染」は「infection」といいます。「ウイルスに感染する」は「be/get infected with a virus」、あるいは「catch a virus」という言い方もできます。

感染ルート(route of infection)に関して、飛沫感染は「droplet infection」、接触感染は「contact infection」ということができます。ウイルスがどのように広がるかについていうときは、「transmission」を使います。
