トング を英語で教えて!

家で、母親に「お肉を取るからトングを貸して」と言いたいです。

焼肉などでお肉を焼くときに使う、V型の金属の器具のことを英語では"tong"と言います。
ちなみにバーベキューなどでお肉や野菜を突き刺す金属製の長い串のことは英語で"skewer"と言います。

使用例）
I'm going to serve the cooked meat. Can you pass me the tong?
焼けたお肉をとるから、トングを貸して？

I used the tongs to remove the hot skewers from the grill carefully.
熱くなった串をグリルから注意深く取るためにトングを使った。

Using the tong, he flipped the sizzling steak.
トングを使って彼はジュージュー言っているステーキをひっくり返した。
＊flip ... ひっくり返す
＊sizzling ... ジュージューいうほど熱い

2本くっ付いている物なので【s】を付ける必要があります。

『トング』を意味します。
※トング以外の物でも2本くっ付いている物には全て【a pair of～～】と表現します。

例文
