暇な時しか出来ないことをしよう を英語で教えて!

大学の友人が、夏休みの予定がなさ過ぎて暇を持て余しているので、「暇な時しか出来ないことをしてみなよ」と言いたいです。

「暇なときにしかできないことをしてみなよ」

【why not ...?】で「～しなよ」という意味になります。【you can do】以下で【something】を説明し、「自由な時間があるときにしかできない～」という意味の言い回しになります。

Take advantage of your free time to do things you wouldn't be able to do otherwise.
「自由な時間を、普段できないことをするために有効活用しなよ」

【take advantage of ...】で「～有効に使う」という意味の言い回しになります。

Since you have a lot of free time, why not explore activities that are only possible during such moments?
「自由な時間がたくさんあるんだから、そういうときにしかできないことをやってみなよ」

【explore ...】は「冒険する」というのが最もよく用いられる意味ですが、「（やったことがないことを）新たにやってみる」という意味にも派生します。
