生き甲斐と表現するには何パターンかあります。
・最初の例は、〜が私の生きる動機ですという形で、motivationの他にもreason for living(生きる理由), a purpose of life(生きる目的)なども使うことができます。

彼は仕事が生きがいです。

2　二つ目の例は、make O C, O(人や物を)Cの状態にするという構文を使って、〜が私の人生を意味のあるものにするという表現です。worth livingは生きる価値がある、という意味で、他にもmeaningfulを使って意味のあるものにする、というようにも言い換えができます。

例:
Growing vegetables in the field makes my life meaningful.
野菜を畑で育てるのが私の生き甲斐です。
