謎が残る を英語で教えて!

友達が嘘をついているように感じたので、「本当かどうか謎が残る」と言いたいです。

ちなみに、"There are still some unanswered questions." は「まだいくつか分からない点があるんだよね」というニュアンスで使えます。議論や説明が一通り終わった後で、解決していない疑問や課題が残っていることを、補足情報として付け加えるのにぴったりな表現です。

この場合は「謎が残る」は直接的に訳さず、「〇〇が言ってることが本当かどうか分からない」の意味で"I don't know if it's true / waht the truth is." が自然です。

(何が本当かわからない。彼女は嘘ついてるように感じる。)

"I'm not sure if he is telling the truth."
