しし座流星群は普通の会話やニュースではthe Leonid meteor showerです。

あれはしし座流星群だったかもしれない。
これが一番簡単な言い方です。

I have seen so many shooting stars last night. They must be the Leonid meteor shower.
昨夜たくさんの流れ星を見ました。きっとしし座流星群でしょう。
must be～で「きっと」「違いない」という意味が出せます。

2. the Leonids
学術的にや、星に詳しい人同士だと、 しし座流星群はthe Leonidsと呼ばれます。

The Leonids this year will be much better than last year.
今年のしし座流星群は去年よりずっと綺麗でしょう。

ちなみにふたご座流星群はthe Geminid meteor showerです。
流星群が観られる星座の名前にidがつくものが多いです。
