丸く収める を英語で教えて!

丸く収めるは英語で【calm it down】【settle it down】で言うことが出来ます。

「丸く収めるほうを考えたほうがいい」
You had better think about how to calm it down.
You should think about the way to settle it down.

how to ～＝～の方法
the way to～＝～の方法

ex. 彼はこの状況を丸く収めることが出来ました。
He was able to settle this situation down.

閑職 を英語で教えて!

閑職（かんしょく）は英語で【leisurely post】【 sinecure 】と言います。
「閑職業務をしたい」は【I want to work in a leisurely post. 】で言うことが出来ます。

ex. 重要なポストから閑職ポストに移動させられました。
I was moved from an important post to a leisurely post.

ex. 閑職は最低限の責任しかない立場です。
The sinecure has only the minimum resposibility.

閑古鳥 を英語で教えて!

「閑古鳥が鳴く」は「寂しい様子、特に商売などがはやらない様子」を意味します。
英語では【deserted】で言うことが出来ます。

ex. 来店者がいないので、今日は閑古鳥が鳴いています。
①Since the store has few visitors, it's quite deserted.
deserted = 人けのない、さびれた、人気のない

②There are only few visitors, so this store seems to be almost closed.
be（ almost） closed= （ほとんど）廃業している

間接的に聞く を英語で教えて!

「友達から間接的に聞いたから真実かは分からないよ」
I heard it indirectly from a friend, so I don't know the truth.

「間接的に聞く」は【hear it indirectly 】です。
「間接的に」は【 indirectly】です。また反対の「直接」は【directly】です。

ex. 彼についての噂を間接的に聞きました。
I heard rumors about him indirectly.
rumor = 噂

ex. 私は彼から直接聞きたい。
I want to hear directly from him.

間取り を英語で教えて!

「間取り」は英語で【floor plan】【house layout】で言うことが出来ます。

ex.どのような間取りをおさがしでしょうか？
What kind of layout are you looking for？

ex.まさに理想の間取りです。
It's exactly the ideal floor plan.
