亜熱帯 を英語で教えて!

1. Is this area subtropica?
「(ここは)亜熱帯(ですか？)」

地理気候の分類の一つである「亜熱帯」は subtropical という英単語で表しましょう。「ここは亜熱帯ですか？」と聞きたい場合はbe動詞を文頭に出して「Is this area subtropical?」で質問できます。

2. Is this region semi-tropical?
「(ここは)亜熱帯(ですか？)」

「亜熱帯」はその他にも、semi-tropical という単語でも表すことができます。また、「ここは亜熱帯ですか？」と聞く場合も「地域」という意味の region を使って「Is this region semi-tropical?」で聞けます。
