息のあるうち を英語で教えて!

命がある時に「息のあるうち」と言いますが、これは英語でなんというのですか？

(will:遺書　breath:呼吸)

・英語でも日本語と同じように、生きる=息をする(have a breath, be breathing)と表現するので、息のある間に、while I still have breathと言うことができます。

例:
My father seems to want me to take over the store while he still has breath. (while he is still breatging)
私の父は息のあるうちに私に店を継いで欲しいようだ。
(seem to〜:〜なようだ　take over:〜をつぐ、継承する

・また、息のあるうちに、とは生きているうちに、と簡単に言い換えることができるので、while someone is aliveと言うこともできます。(alive:生きている)

例:
私は息のあるうちにパリに行ってみたい。
I would like to visit Paris while I am still alive.
