というわけでもない を英語で教えて!

ピーマン嫌いだったよね？と聞かれた時に、「というわけでもない。焼いたのは好き」と言いたいです。これは英語でなんというのですか？

「というわけでもない」は
英語では It's not like that. や It's not that. などで表現することができると思います。

It's not like that. I like it cooked.
（というわけでもない。焼いたのは好き。）

※ cook は「（料理を）作る」という意味ですが、火を使って作るという意味なので、「焼く」も表現できます。網や鉄板などで焼く場合は grill の方が適切かと思います。

It's not that. Basically, I think he's capable.
（というわけでもない。基本的に、彼は有能だと思うよ。）
