・The cat is very cautious and isn't friendly with people.
その猫はとても警戒心が強いので、人に懐きません。
very cautious で警戒心が強いという意味です。
また、be friendly with で～に懐くといった表現になります。上記では否定形の isn't friendly with を用いて、～に懐かないと言う意味になります。

・The cat has a strong sense of caution against human.
これも「その猫は人間に対して警戒心が強い」と言えます。
