バスケ部だった を英語で教えて!

自分が昔、バスケットボール部に所属していたと説明したいです。

used to be : かつて〜だった
the basketball team : バスケ部
・ on を使って、「チームの一員だった」と表現します。

バスケ部だった。今はプレーできないよ。

2. I played for the basketball club.
バスケ部でプレーしてた。

played : プレーした、参加した（動詞 play の過去形）
for : ～のために、所属して（前置詞）
・今回は「クラブのために」プレーしてたので for を使います。

I played for the basketball club when I was younger.
若い頃、バスケ部でプレーしてたよ。

「バスケ部だった」は上記のように表現します。

I used to～. (昔に～をしました）過去に何かの活動をしていたなら英語で I used to～ を使います。

例)
I used to draw a lot in the past.
昔はよく絵を描いていました。

昔は大学で教師として働きました。

be a member of～（～の会員）「～」の部分へ、何の会員かを説明します。

例)
I am a member of the parliament.
私は国会議員です。
