foreigners「海外の方々」
expect「予想する、想定する」

どちらもよく使う表現です。１はカジュアル、２はビジネス向きとなっています。
ちなみに、thought と expected は入れ替え可能で、他にも imagined を使って「想像していたよりも」という表現をすることも可能です。
