新人は未経験にしてはかなりよくやってる。

newcomer：新人
組織の新しいメンバーを newcomer や rookie（野球などのスポーツチームや警察の新人を指します。）といいます。ここでは newcomer of + 名詞で「今年の新人」を意味し、その他 newcomer to the team「チームに来た（ての）新人」や newcomer to the city「都市の新参者」の様に使います。

even though：～にもかかわらず
but や however と同じく「～だか」の逆説を意味し、even though + S V ～ は副詞節の働きをします。また even if「～であっても」は、意味は同じですが（事実と異なる）仮定の話を指す点が even though とは異なるので注意します。
