記憶がはっきりしていない を英語で教えて!

少し前の事を聞かれて思い出せないので、「その出来事について、記憶がはっきりしていない」と言いたいです。

「その出来事について、記憶がはっきりしていない」という意味です。
distinct は「はっきりした」という意味をもち、have a distinct memory of ~ で「~をはっきりと覚えている」という意味になるので、否定形を使うことで「はっきり覚えていない」と表現できます。同様の意味で distinct の代わりに vivid「鮮やかな」 を使って have a vivid memory とも言うことができます。

例文
I remember going on a trip with my family to the U.S. when I was little but I honestly don't have a distinct memory of that.

2. I have only a vague memory of that.
こちらも同様の意味です。vague は「曖昧な」という意味で、上記の例の直訳は「曖昧な記憶しかないな」となります。
