resultsは「結果」という意味です。「検査」は英語でtestと言います。主語はThe results of the testになるので、動詞はwereと複数形にしましょう。wereはbe動詞(are)の過去形です。「良くなかった」はbadでもいいですが、ネガティブで強い印象を与えるため、より柔らかい言い方のnot goodの方がおすすめです。

2. The results of the examination were not positive.
検査の結果は良くなかった。

testの代わりにexaminationを使っても同じ意味になります。医療系での検査の結果はpositive「良い」negative「悪い」と表現されることが多いです。
