初めまして☆2017年からNCを始め、2019年にNC講師になりました。現在は育児の隙間時間に翻訳や自習をしながら復帰に向けて準備中です♪

渦中の人 を英語で教えて!

もめ事などの中心にいる人を「渦中の人」と言います。
A person at the center of trouble,etc.
is calledna prson in the turmoil / vortex.

person in the turmoil / vortex=渦中の
turmoil＝騒ぎ、混乱
vortex =渦, 疾風

ex.She is in a vortex of great difficulties.
彼女は大きな困難の中にいます。
be in a vortex of great difficulties=大きな困難にある

ものもらい を英語で教えて!

ものもらいができたので、眼帯をしています。
I got/had a sty(e) in my right eye , so I'm wearing eyepatch.
sty(e)=ものもらい

I had a pink eye in my left eye, so it was swollen.
pink eye＝結膜炎
swell -swoll-swollen=腫れる、浮腫む

ex.My eyes are swollen because I slept too much.
寝すぎたので目が腫れています。

右上、右下、左上、左下 を英語で教えて!

右上＝upper right
右下＝lower right
左上＝upper left
左下＝lower left

ex.Please hang it to the top right of the wall.
これを壁の右上にかけて下さい。

the top right/left of the wall＝壁の右上(左上)に

ex. My lower left side of my back hurts.
背中の左下が痛いです。

lower left/right side of ～＝～の左下（右下）

山場を越える を英語で教えて!

もっとも大変な時期を乗り越える時に「山場を越える」と言います。
It is said that
When you get through (over) the hardest time, you go(get) over the mountain.
get through/over=乗り越える
go over = 越える

ex. He has overcome all the difficulties so far.
彼は今までどんな困難も乗り越えてきた。

overcome =～を乗り越える（他動）勝利する、打ち勝つ（自動）

ボーナスで買う を英語で教えて!

もうすぐでボーナスがもらえるので、ボーナスで新しいパソコンを買います。
Since I'll get a bonus ,
so I'll buy a personal computer with a bonus.

buy ～ with a bonus=～を賞与で買う
bonus （compensation）=賞与

ex. I received a bonus of 500,000 yen after tax.
ボーナスの手取り５０万円受取りました。
