断定する を英語で教えて!

「to conclude that」は、「（色々な情報や証拠を考えた結果）〜という結論に至る」というニュアンスです。

プレゼンやレポートで「以上のことから、〜と結論づけます」とまとめたり、日常会話で「彼の態度からして、彼は賛成していないと判断したよ」のように、何か根拠があって結論を出す時に使えます。

DNA鑑定の結果に基づき、二人は親子であると結論付けて良いでしょう。

ちなみに、断定的に何かを述べる場面でこの表現は使いません。「ちなみに」は、本筋から少し外れた補足情報や豆知識を付け加える時に使う言葉です。「断定」の強いニュアンスとは合わないので、避けた方が自然です。

draw a conclusion
断定する

draw は「描く」「線を引く」などの意味を表す動詞ですが、「引き出す」「得る」などの意味も表せます。また、conclusion は「結論」「決定」などの意味を表す名詞です。

（証拠が足りないので、断定することは出来ません。）
