初めまして☆2017年からNCを始め、2019年にNC講師になりました。現在は育児の隙間時間に翻訳や自習をしながら復帰に向けて準備中です♪

thrilled =（～という事で）わくわくして、喜んで
be appointed＝任命される/ appoint=任命する,指名する（他動）

ex. The new menber was appointed for the new project.
新しいメンバーがプロジェクトに任命された。

☆ appoint A as B = AをBに指名する、任命する
I appoint you as my regular teacher .
あなたを固定の先生に指名します。

転ばぬ先の杖 を英語で教えて!

転ばぬ先の杖（諺）→先の不具合などにそなえる事

① Prevation is better than cure. = 予防は案ずるよりも良い
② look before you leap.= 飛び込む前に確認しよう
③ better safe than sorry.= 後悔よりも安全に

Prevation=防止
cure=心配する、治療する
leap=飛び込む
sorry=悔やむ、後悔する

まだ荷物は通関していません。

passed through customs= 荷物が通関する
customs=（空港などの）税関
pass through～＝～を通過する、通り過ぎる

☆customs（税関 / 関税）に対し、custom(習慣/　愛顧、お得意)の意味になります。

ex. at U.S. customs=アメリカの税関で

ex.It's my custom to take a walk with my dog.
犬と一緒に散歩するのが私の習慣です。

track=～の後を追う、～をたどる
insure=～の保険を掛ける
