初めまして☆2017年からNCを始め、2019年にNC講師になりました。現在は育児の隙間時間に翻訳や自習をしながら復帰に向けて準備中です♪

耕す を英語で教えて！

苗を植える前に、まずは土を耕そうね。
Let's cultivate the soil first before planting seedlings.

☆cultivate = 耕す
soil = 土壌
plant = 植える
seedling = 苗木、実生

ex. 畑を耕すのに１時間以上かかりました。
It took more than an hour to plow the field.
plow = ～を耕す
field = 野原、畑、牧草地 / 陸上競技場
It takes 時間 to V = ～するのに・・時間かかる。

アトピー を英語で教えて！

アトピーがあります。
I have an atopic dermatitis.
☆atopic dermatitis = アトピー性皮膚炎

ex. 子供の頃からアトピーで悩んでいます。
I have been suffering from atopic dermatitis since I was a child.
suffer from～ = ～で悩む

ex.アトピーを完治する薬はまだ開発されていません。
Medicines to cure atopy are not still being developed.

宣伝効果 を英語で教えて！

売れ行きが良いので、宣伝効果のおかげでしょうか？
It's selling well, so It's thanks to the advertising effect, is it ?
It's thanks to = ～のおかげ
effect = 効果
advertising effect = 宣伝効果

ex. 宣伝効果をいまいち実感できません。
I can't really feel the effect of advertising.
effect of advertising = 宣伝効果

タイミングを計る を英語で教えて！

親に買って欲しいものがあると言うタイミングを計っています。
I'm waiting for the timing to say that there's something I want my parents to buy.

be waiting for the timing to～ = ～するタイミングを待っています、見計らっている
want 人 to～ = 人に～して欲しい、～してもらう

ex. 親に私のお願いを言う良いタイミングを見計らっています。
I'm considering the good timing to say my parents about my favor.
consider = よく考える、検討する
favor = お願い

ワインの当たり年 を英語で教えて！

今年はワインの当たり年だ。
① This year is a good / lucky / special year for wine.

☆This year is a good / lucky / special year for～.
= 今年は～の当たり年です。

② This is a banner year for wine.
☆ This is a banner year for～ = ～の当たり年

banner year = 当たり年
banner = 優秀な、一流の
ex. a banner crop = 豊作
