枝豆はそのまま edamame で通じます。国外の日本食レストランではメニューにそのまま edamame と書いてある事も多いですし、外国の方も枝豆を知っている事が多いです。

例）

私はその日本食レストランでいつも枝豆を注文します。

2. green soybeans
枝豆

green: 緑の、若い
soybeans: 大豆
大豆になる前の若い未成熟な緑の状態が枝豆ですので、緑の大豆で「枝豆」です。
例）
I like green soybeans better than soybeans.
私は大豆より枝豆が好きです。
like A better than B: B より A が好き。
