Hello! My name is Fin. Growing up, I used to hate English, but going to the USA on a school trip was a turning point in my English learning journey. Despite tons of effort I put into my English, it didn’t improve as much as I expected. If anything, it was still one of the worst subjects that dragged me down. I almost flunked my English tests. With that said, I didn’t even think about studying abroad at that time. However, I found out later that I needed to have at least a 650 on TOEIC in order to graduate. On top of that, I started to make friends from all over the world online. All these things have become intertwined with my English learning journey.

ネイティブの英語が速すぎて聞き取れないと感じている方はぜひ発音のトレーニングに取り組んでみてください。１つ１つの発音の仕方はだいたいわかっていると思っている方も、文全体の音の流れにのせたときにアクセントやキーワード以外は、判別できないくらいの「つながった弱い音」になることがわかると思います。
１語ずつ正しくていねいに発音してしまうと、かえってイントネーションが乱れて相手にも伝わりにくくなってしまうのです。
トレーニングを続けて自然な英語のリズム(ピッチ)がつかめてくると、リスニングスキルも上がり相手にも伝わりやすくなるので、結果として自信につながります。
まず出しにくい個別の音の舌ポジションをしっかり確認したら、全体的なスムーズさを目指していきましょう！

I had been teaching PHONICS to kids and I know how significant it is to learn each sound as a first step of English study as it makes much easier to read and spell English words. Those who have never heard of PHONICS are also welcome as I will guide you patiently to update your pronunciation.
And as a second step, it will boost your listening skills to fucus on speaking or reading with FLOW. The more you speak choppy, the less people will understand what you're trying to say.
