炎色反応 を英語で教えて!

化学の用語で使う「炎色反応」は英語で「flame test」と言います。
「反応」は英語で「reaction」なので「flame reaction」と言いたいところですが、「flame test」の方が一般的です。

The color of fireworks utilize and are made from flame tests.
花火の色は炎色反応を利用してできている。

The flame test is used to identify metal ions based on the color of the flame produced.
炎色反応は、生成される炎の色に基づいて金属イオンを特定するために使用されます。

分留 を英語で教えて!

化学の用語で使う「分留」は英語で 「fractional distillation」と言います。「distillation」は「ディスティレーション」と読み、「蒸留」を意味します。「fractional」は「分別」を表し、「蒸留」と言う大きな枠組みの中に「分留」があります。

Fractional distillation is used to separate mixtures of liquids with closer boiling points.
分留は、沸点が近い液体の混合物を分離するために使用されます。

また「分留」には「単純分留」という「simple distillation」や、「真空蒸留」と言う「vacuum distillation」など、いくつかの種類があるので、状況によって使い分けられると良いでしょう。

純物質 を英語で教えて!

「純物質」は、英語で上記のように表現することができます。

「pure」は「純粋な」、「substance」は「物質」で、合わせて「純物質」を表すことができます。

Water is considered a pure substance when it does not contain impurities.
水は、不純物を含まない場合、純物質と見なされます。

Unlike a mixture, a pure substance cannot be separated.
混合物とは異なり、純物質は分離することができません。

The boiling point of a pure substance is well-defined, while that of a mixture can vary.
純物質の沸点は明確に定義されていますが、混合物の沸点は変動する可能性があります。

メネラウスの定理 を英語で教えて!

メネラウスとは、古代ギリシアの数学者、天文学者の「Menelaos」のことで、彼の名前にちなんで名付けられた定理を「Menelaus' Theorem」と言います。
「Theorem」は「定理、法則」を意味する名詞で、「セオレム」と読みます。

Menelaus' Theorem is useful for solving problems related to triangle.
メネラウスの定理は、三角形に関する問題を解決するのに役立ちます。

Menelaus' theorem states that if a line intersects the sides of a triangle or their extensions, certain ratios are equal.
メネラウスの定理は、直線が三角形の辺またはその延長と交差する場合、特定の比が等しいことを示しています。

合名会社 を英語で教えて!

「合名会社」は、英語で上記のように表現することができます。

1. General Partnership
これは、複数のパートナーが事業を共同で運営し、全員が無限責任を負う会社形態で、「合名会社」を意味します。頭文字をとって「GP」と言うこともあります。

A general partnership is a business structure where all partners share responsibility and liability.
合名会社は、すべてのパートナーが責任と債務を共有するビジネス形態です。

2. Unlimited Partnership
こちらは全員が無限責任を負う点を強調している「合名会社」です。「unlimited」は「無限」を意味します。

An unlimited partnership means that the partners are fully liable.
合名会社は、パートナーが完全に責任を負うことを意味します。
