蓋然性 を英語で教えて!

受験の合格率が高いので、「あの学校の合格する蓋然性は高い」と言いたいです。

・probability

「蓋然性」は、英語で probability と言います。また似た単語で possibility がありますが、possibility は比較的に、「起こる確率が低い」時に使われ、probability は「起こる確率が高い」時に使われます。
「蓋然性が高い」と言いたいときは、There is a high probability of (名詞) や、The probability of (名詞) is high と言います。
「合格率」は、pass rate と言い、「受験」は entrance exam 又は、 entrance examination　と言います。

例文
There is a high probability of getting into the university.
あの学校の合格する蓋然性は高い。

※to get into は学校に受かると言う意味です。受験や、試験に合格するは、 to pass the test / the exam と言います。

The probability of me passing the entrance examination is high because the pass rate is high.
受験の合格率が高いので、私が受験に受かる蓋然性は高い。

「蓋然性」は「probability」と言います。「蓋然性は高い」ならば形容詞形の「probable」を用いて「be highly [very] probable」と表すことが可能です。

構文は、第二文型（主語［Passing the exam of that school］＋動詞［be動詞］＋主語を補足説明する補語［highly probable］）で構成します。

たとえば、"Passing the exam of that school is highly probable."とすれば「あの学校の試験に合格する蓋然性は高いです」の意味になりニュアンスが通じます。

名詞形の「probability」を用いるならば第二文型で"The probability of passing the exam of that school is high."とすると前段と同じ意味になります。
