下底 を英語で教えて!

・lower(bottom) bases

｢下底｣ は上記のように表します。

lower は ｢より低い」や「下位の」という意味を表します。
他の何かよりも低いことを表します。

｢下底｣ のもう一つの表現は bottom です。
｢下側の、底の｣ という意味で、日本語でもズボンやスカートの事を ｢ボトム｣ と言う時がありますね。
bottom から来ています。

You can find out that the area of a trapezoid is the sum of upper (top) and lower(bottom)bases, multiplied by the height, and then divided by 2.
台形の面積は（上底＋下底）×高さ÷2で求めます。

find out : 求める
trapezoid : 台形
sum : 合計
upper (top) : 上
multiplied : 掛ける
height : 高さ
divided : 割られた

もし lower を使う場合は、｢上底｣ は upper と言う方がよいでしょう。
bottom の場合はその反対は top です。
