最上面的It's a pain in the ass(neck)真的是在加拿大很常聽到的俚語。

It takes forever也很常用。

It takes forever for me to cook my own food.
（自己煮飯很花時間／很麻煩）

我認為沒有一個詞語能夠和中文的「麻煩」完全一樣地使用，
會用「I can't be bothered」來表達這種「麻煩」的心情。
I can't be bothered to ～ 不想特地去～
I can't be bothered to cook for myself.
我不想特地自己煮飯。（自己煮飯很麻煩。）

如果是「覺得去學校很麻煩」的情況，
建議可以用「feel like」來表達「不想去學校、沒有去的心情」。
feel like ～ing 想要～
don't feel like ～ing　不想～
I don't feel like going to school.
我不想去學校。（覺得去學校很麻煩。）
