構文是「～請...」的內容，所以副詞「Please」作為感嘆詞放在句首，接動詞原形（press），再加上受詞（button），然後接從屬副詞子句來構成。

從屬副詞子句是在連接詞（when）之後，以第三句型（主詞［you］＋動詞［need］＋受詞［us］）來構成。

例如，"Please press the button when you need us." 就是「有需要時請按下按鈕」的意思。

另外，如果將從屬子句的連接詞改為假設語氣的「if」，變成 "Please press the button if you need something."，則是「如需協助，請按下按鈕」的意思。

「請按下按鈕」是說Press the button。
