「Same old, same old」是帶有「一如往常都一樣」、「沒有什麼改變」這種語感的英文表達。當日常生活或情況沒有變化，特別是沒有什麼新鮮有趣的事情時會用到。例如，當有人問你「最近怎麼樣？」而你沒有什麼新鮮事可以報告時，就可以回答「Same old, same old」。

「It happens. 」直譯的話是「那會發生」，但是即使沒有加上像是often或frequently這種表示「經常、常常」的副詞，光是這句話就有「那種事很常發生」的意思。也可以用stuff（東西、事情）來說「Stuff happens.」也沒問題。

另外，雖然不是什麼好話，但在說「（壞事）常常發生啦，就是會有這種事」的時候，也會說「Sh*t happens.」（有部分字用星號遮蔽了。）
